Homework #2: SeeStar Download the SeeStar app to your cellphone and/or your iPad. Plug the charging cable into the SeeStar telescope. It might take a few hours to get it fully charged. On a night when you have some free time and the skies look clear do the following... Set the SeeStar telescope on a table somewhere outdoors where there is a view into the sky. If there's no table available, you could set it on the ground somewhere that seems safe. Pick an object to take a picture of. It could be the Moon (in the early morning hours), a planet (probably Saturn or Neptune), or a Messier object (such as M15, M2, M27, M31, ...). If your choice is the Moon, take a few quick snapshots. If your choice is a planet, take lots of snapshots or maybe better yet record a video (I think the SeeStar app can do that). If your choice is a Messier object, the SeeStar will automatically take 10 second exposures and stack them into a single photo. Let the stacking algorithm run until the real-time image on your screen looks nice. When you click the stop button, that image will be saved for you. Submit one picture to Canvas. PS. Looking at the weather, the least cloudy nights are this Sunday and next Friday. If it turns out that there are no good nights, we can push the due date further into the future.
