This version of the pivot tool illustrates the famous Klee-Minty examples.

If you use the largest-coefficient rule to select the entering variable, then the simplex method takes \(\sf 2^n - 1 \) pivots.
If, on the other hand, you use the smallest-coefficient rule to select the entering variable, then the simplex method solves the problem in just one pivot.
