Will the Democratic nominee be Clinton or Obama? How about the Republican nominee? Romney? McCain? Huckabee? These are important questions. But, what I want to know is: Will the next president be a Democrat or a Republican? In other words, is purple America tilting more toward blue or toward red? We won't know until next November, but we can get a hint of it by comparing this Purple Primaries map with the Purple America map from 2004:
