NGC 6888 - The Crescent Nebula
From the author of Welcome to the Universe in 3D
The mosaic was made using Photoshop's Photomerge tool applied to three images. Each of the three images are roughly 4 hour stacks of 20 second exposures. Each of them were processed the same way in PixInsight. First NoiserXTerminator was applied. Then BlurXTerminator was applied and then Automatic Background Extraction was applied in division mode. Lastly, each image was stretched using the Screen Transfer Function and saved as a 16-bit tif file.
